Even in the standard 60-inch tub space, we made it work. I built a five-foot-tall pony wall to separate the shower from the toilet and created a walk-through opening at one end. We moved the shower controls to that short wall, so we could adjust the water before stepping in.

The results? Minimal water splashing, no need for a glass door (and the cleaning that comes with it), and a more open, modern feel.
